ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Product Design & Merchandising Support

• Create design presentations, mood boards, and concept visuals to effectively communicate product ideas.
• Research market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to support product development decisions.
• Assist in the development and execution of product lines and merchandising strategies.
• Develop and refine product specifications to ensure product quality, usability, and manufacturability.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with R&D Engineering teams (US & Vietnam) to evaluate design feasibility and support product implementation.
• Work closely with the Merchandising team on product positioning, pricing strategies, and assortment planning.
• Coordinate with the Sourcing team regarding material selection and finishing options.
• Support the Sample Development team during prototype development and product revisions.

3. Continuous Improvement & Design Contribution

• Participate in product development meetings and contribute ideas to improve product design and functionality.
• Maintain organized design documentation, technical drawings, specifications, and project records.
• Assist in the development and presentation of seasonal furniture collections.
• Support product photography and catalog development to enhance product presentation and marketing materials.

4. Additional Responsibilities

• Manage assigned casegoods projects from concept development through completion.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Department Head.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, or related fields.

2. Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in furniture design or merchandising is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong design fundamentals are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.

3. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and materials.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good knowledge of furniture design principles, current market trends, and color theory.
• Strong visual presentation, creativity, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel for business when required.
