JOB SUMMARY
1. Upholds regulatory compliance governmental regulations related to the
environment, health and safety, and maintains records of related tasks where applicable.
2. Able to conduct EHS training.
3. Conduct routine assessments, inspections and audits: daily, weekly and non-routine to ensure all facilities comply with EHS regulations and policy
4. Prepares reports for submission to supervisors and management, which identify the potential hazard(s) and or department discrepancies found, and provides recommendations for control and compliance.
5. Advises employees, supervisors, and management on safe work practices and potential hazards.
6. Assists EHS Manager with environment, health and safety issues through the implementation of EHS measures and programs, and safe systems of work.
7. Facilitate accident and near miss investigations.
8. Maintain metrics and KPIs
9. Assist the EHS Manager in preparing technical and relevant reports for submission to the government.
10. Perform sampling and monitoring activities where applicable.
11. Strictly enforce the permit to work program.
12. Conduct routine inspection of fire protection equipment.
13. Lead in emergency response.
14. Participate in meeting, workshops, and conferences to keep abreast of emerging safety, health, and environmental issues.
15. Able to work with different functions within the company to ensure that EHS concerns are addressed adequately, within an acceptable time-frame.
JOB REQUIREMENT
1. Education
▪ Degree in Environment, Health and Safety, Electrical/Mechatronic or related applied science field
2. Experience
▪ 2 – 3 years related experience
3. Knowledge of:
1. Knowledgeable in Environmental, Health and Safety, and government regulations
2. Fire protection systems and compliance to fire regulations
4. Skills and Abilities
1. Can speak & write English
2. Good PC Software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
